Swadesh Metallics Pvt Ltd is planning to set up an integrated steel plant in Village-Kesda, Tehsil Simga, District- Balodabazar- Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh. The project cost is estimated at ₹14800 million. The project involves setting up of pelletization plant (0.6 mtpa), DRI plant (0.42 mtpa), SMS with caster (0.6 mtpa (12 x 15T induction furnace units), rolling mill unit, RHF unit, Blast Furnace, Sinter plant, Coal washery and a captive power plant of 52 MW (WHRB) and 45 MW (CFBC).
As of August 2021, the project is in planning stage.
