Ultratech Cement plans expansion programme at Hirmi Cement Works

Ultratech Cement is planning to expand its integrated cement unit in Hirmi village in Baloda Bazaar in Chhattisgarh. The project involves expanding clinker plant from 2.2 MTPA to 6.75 MTPA, cement from 6000 TPD to 8000 TPD and the coal-based CPP from 50 MW to 100 MW and a new 15 MW WHR-based CPP. Land required for the project is already available at the existing site. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 20,000 million. As of January 2017, the project is awaiting statutory clearances.
