Ultratech Cement is planning to expand its Rawan cement works in Simga Tehsil in Baloda Bazzar in Bhatapara district of Chhattisgarh. The project involves expanding clinker production capacity from 6.5 mtpa to 10.0 mtpa, cement production capacity from 3.3 mtpa to 7.0 mtpa, waste heat recovery plant capacity from 16 MW to 36 MW.
Land required for the project is already available in the 388.37 ha premises. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 18,000 million.
